ABOUT THE WORK

These paintings explore the quiet performance of everyday life and the invisible weight people carry beneath the surface. Through recurring figures, familiar settings, humor, and moments of vulnerability, I ask what it means to appear "fine" while navigating the complexities of identity, expectation, perception, and mental load. I'm interested in the space between what we present to the world and what we experience internally.

This body of work grew from a desire to make those unseen experiences visible without defining or resolving them. Rather than offering answers, the paintings invite viewers to pause, look closely, and recognize something of themselves. Each piece becomes part of a larger conversation about resilience, connection, and the many ways we learn to move through the world.
