Cat Delett is a figurative artist based in New Jersey who works across a range of mediums, including acrylic, collage, watercolor, and ink.
Her work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions throughout New Jersey and is held in private collections across the United States and internationally. In 2019, her series Two-Way Looking Glass—a collection of text-integrated portraits of women—was presented as a solo exhibition at the Teiger Art Gallery.
Delett draws inspiration from her own experiences, vintage and personal photographs, and current events. While her work often centers on the human form, it moves beyond traditional portraiture to explore narrative and emotional depth. Frequently weaving in elements of text, she invites viewers to step into layered, intimate stories—some familiar, some surprising, often both. Her goal is to create a moment of connection, where the viewer feels briefly immersed in a world both personal and expansive.
